Vezirova Mosque balcony over entry
Gusinje, Montenegro
The arched wooden trim pieces adorn each of the balcony openings and provide a frame for those within. The carved trim pieces at the projecting sill of the balcony were formed using chisels to carve the repetitive designs. The interlocked wooden railing lumber are mortised into the larger framing members. The framing members typically have chiseled grooves to accent the edges of members.
