Shops in traditional buildings
Đakovica (Gjakova), Kosovo
These single-story shops have been restored and show traditional construction materials and details, adapted to contemporary needs. Some have the wooden shuttering system that opens downward to form a display shelf and upwards to open the interior space, now enclosed with glazing. Projecting clay-tiled roofs protect the shops and their goods.
