Crkva Svete Barbare, southwest view

Velika Mlaka is a village, south of Zagreb, within the Turopolje region and the municipality of Velika Gorica. The church Svete Barbare (Saint Barbara) was constructed in the 1640s. The timber structure is oak and contains intricate detail carving. The original bell tower was removed and the current structure erected in the 19th century. The side porch was added in the early 20th century.
