Dwelling above falls
Slunj, Croatia
This house is built at the edge of a millpond and shows the traditional building methods of older structures at Slunj. The ground level has been given a cement-like coating, probably over a limestone wall, and the upper floor shows horizontal wood plank construction. The offset roof extends to cover an exterior stair leading to the raised living quarters. This region is near the Bosnian border, and the architecture shows Dinaric as well as inland Sava influences.
