Village Plan
Slunj, Croatia
This site plan of the Slunj mill settlement shows the several branches of the Slunjčica River and the locations of the watermills, which are positioned to take advantage of the river's drop into the Korana River gorge. The residents' dwellings are located on the small islands (karst rock formations) between the river channels. A modern road and bridges encircle the settlement and its older river crossings.
