Georgi Benkovski kăšta, view from entry
Koprivštica, Bulgaria
This timber and plank kăšta was constructed in the early 1830s for the Benkovski family. Portions of the ground level walls were built of masonry. The upper level served as the primary living area with the projecting čardak overlooking the entry and courtyard. The dwelling has had a number of restoration works performed and currently serves as a museum to honor Georgi Benkovski.
