Kapinovski manastir (Kapinovo monastery)

The northern perimeter of the monastery consists of an arc of fortress-like konak structures that frame the inner, elevated courtyard. An arched stone portal with paired wooden doors opens to a dark basement vestibule with generous stone stairway leading to the daylit churchyard and monastic facilities. Heavy timber joists and bracketed beams frame the stair opening and support the floor above. (photo 2000)
