Wooden Walkways to entrances into mills
Jajce, Bosnia
This view from a mill entrance shows the narrow plank access bridges and mill sluices. The power of the rushing water is apparent where it overflows the closed wooden channels. When opened (and the mill is in service), the channels would direct water down the shoots that pass under the mill platforms, onto the waterwheels below.
