Farm in landscape
Lajthizë, Albania
Lajthizë is a small village that overlooks Lake Prespa that forms part of the border with F.Y.R.O. Macedonia to the north and Greece to the east. It is within the muncipality of Pustec (formerly Komuna Liqenas). The area was first mentioned in the 14th century and still contains a majority of ethnic Macedonian Christians. The village contains a number of small farm structures constructed with stone foundations, wood reinforced soft brick walls, and timber framed roofs covered with clay tile or replacement roofing (corrugated metal sheeting).
