Banesa e Hajdar Sejdinit (House of Hajdar Sejdin)
view to çardak from hall
Elbasan, Albania
From the chardak, a space for relaxation and entertaining, a wide central hall gives access the the rooms of this ample urban residence. The continuous wooden molding above the door and windows align with the plasterwork of the arched openings along the çardak edge. The high portal to the çardak splits the horseshoe arch and sets it on a compound molding base to form the higher opening.
